Tara View DroughtMasters

Tara View Droughtmaster Stud was established as Stud 881 in 1999 with the purchase of a registered bull and 20 registered heifers. We now run a herd of 100 breeding females consisting of our own progeny combined with females from leading studs such as Billabong, Trafalgar, Castletower, Sevenell, Vitwood and Greenacres. Our females are selected for their docility, fertility, ease of calving and good mothering abilities. We strongly believe that good females are the base of every good herd. We have always, and continue to, strive towards breeding cattle that will be suitable for all types of country and conditions.

We cull heavily to ensure our bulls have high fertility, good temperament and structure. Our sires have been carefully selected from Calioran, Fairhaven, Redskin, Talgai, Wajatryn, Wingfield and Wolfang as well as bulls retained from our own progeny. Our current sires are Wingfield Nevada 2696, Redskin Kenworth and Wajatryn Ohio.
